Ok. So you've read all the SEO articles about the importance of Page Titles, Title Tags, Meta Tags, Key Word Density, and so on. One of the most commonly overlooked aspects of great SEO practices is content. Not only content containing relevant keywords, but relevant and up-to-date content. Sadly, many small businesses make the mistake of only putting up a corporate brochure style site that tells you all about their business and what they are able to do. What many business fail to do is talk about how they do can benefit their customer's bottom line. It is always good to talk about both the feature and benefit.
Ughhh! You say. Well, how do I come up with stuff? You're the expert in your business, industry, and market right?! Well write what you know as it pertains to your expertise and knowledge base. It is important to value add by giving your audience something they can truly benefit from. The bottom line is, that the more relevant and up-to-date content you have on your site, the more you can expect spiders/search engine bots to visit your site for indexing, as well as your audience returning to it. Not only will you get better results with your online marketing efforts, but you'll see sales increase as well because you will create the perception that you are an expert.
